Group Retirement Savings Plans (GRSP)
Employer-sponsored Group Retirement Savings Plans are approved by the Canada Revenue Agency and allow tax-deferred savings for retirement purposes. Contributions to a GRSP are tax deductible, and earnings on contributions are sheltered from taxes until they are withdrawn.

For clients who want to add extra value and security to their employee benefits package, Equitable Life offers Group Pension Plans to assist employers in providing well rounded retirement security for their employees. Funds accumulated in a DCPP cannot be withdrawn before the member retires, terminates employment or dies.
With a DCPP, the amount of employer and employee contributions is fixed while savings are accumulating, and the actual value of the pension is not known until retirement. Tax advantages apply to both employer and employee - contributions are tax deductible and accumulate on a tax-deferred basis.

A Deferred Profit Sharing Plan is a registered plan that enables a company to share profits on a tax-assisted basis with non-shareholder employees. Contributions to a DPSP are tax-deductible for the company and tax-sheltered for the employee until withdrawn from the plan. Employees are not eligible to contribute to DPSPs.
Contributions are not locked in, which means employees can withdraw their benefits in cash after terminating employment.
